Film and television are powerful tools to show what is possible when people act — and vote. On Friday, August 8th, When We All Vote will bring Martha’s Vineyard together to explore how actors, filmmakers, producers, and more can meet Black voters where we are. Following remarks from former Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, and cultural leaders, we will discuss the power of storytelling to engage viewers and voters alike. We will revisit key moments that brought voting to the culture onscreen, including When We All Vote Founder Michelle Obama’s appearance on Black-ish in 2022.
