At the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival (“MVAAFF”), presented by Run&Shoot Filmworks, we appreciate your support and look forward to providing an exceptional festival experience.
All ticket, pass, credential, and merchandise sales are final. Except as expressly provided below in the event of a full Festival cancellation, purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
We encourage all attendees to carefully review their selections and confirm their availability before completing a purchase. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this No Refund Policy.
Event Attendance
Refunds will not be issued if you are unable to attend the Festival for any reason, including but not limited to illness, personal emergencies, scheduling conflicts, travel delays, transportation disruptions, weather affecting your travel, work obligations, or any other circumstance beyond the Festival’s control.
Festival Cancellation
In the unlikely event that the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival is canceled in its entirety and does not take place, purchasers will receive a refund of the ticket purchase price, excluding applicable processing fees or service charges, unless otherwise required by law.
The cancellation of an individual screening, panel discussion, special event, or other Festival activity does not constitute cancellation of the Festival.
Program Changes
The Festival reserves the right to modify or substitute programming, screening schedules, venues, dates, times, films, speakers, special guests, moderators, participants, and other event details at any time without prior notice.
Program changes, substitutions, schedule adjustments, or cancellations of individual events are a normal part of live events and do not entitle purchasers to a refund, exchange, or credit.
When practical, the Festival will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant program changes using the contact information provided during the purchase process.
Ticket Selection
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to select the correct ticket, pass, credential, event, date, time, quantity, and ticket type before completing the transaction.
Please carefully review your order before submitting payment, as purchases cannot be modified or refunded once completed, except as expressly stated in this policy.
Order Confirmation
After completing your purchase, you will receive an order confirmation by email containing your purchase details.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to:
- provide a valid and accurate email address at checkout;
- review the confirmation promptly upon receipt; and
- notify the Festival of any material error resulting from the Festival or its authorized ticketing provider.
The Festival is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information entered by the purchaser, email delivery failures outside the Festival’s control, spam filtering, device or software issues, or a purchaser’s misunderstanding of the order placed.
Reporting Order Errors
If you believe your order confirmation contains a material error caused by the Festival or its authorized ticketing provider (such as an incorrect ticket type or quantity), you must contact Festival customer support as soon as reasonably possible after receiving your confirmation email.
The Festival will review reported errors and, when appropriate, attempt to correct verified administrative errors, subject to availability. The correction of an administrative error does not create a right to a refund, exchange, or other compensation.
Lost, Stolen, or Misused Credentials
Run&Shoot Filmworks is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, shared, or unauthorized use of tickets, passes, credentials, QR codes, confirmation emails, or other admission materials.
Lost or stolen admission materials will not be replaced or refunded, except at the Festival’s sole discretion.
Customer Responsibility
Purchasers are responsible for safeguarding their order confirmation and admission credentials and for arriving at Festival events on time and in accordance with all Festival admission requirements and policies.
Failure to comply with Festival policies or admission requirements does not entitle a purchaser to a refund.
Acceptance of Policy
This No Refund Policy is intended to ensure fairness and consistent treatment for all Festival attendees. By purchasing tickets, passes, credentials, or merchandise, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this policy.
